    How to Insert a Timeline in PowerPoint

      To begin, open a PowerPoint Presentation.
      Click "Insert."
      Click the drop down arrow of "SmartArt."
      Under the "Process" tab, select the timeline you want to insert.
      Add the information you want in your timeline. You can add or delete steps, as well as move them. Click the red "X" in the upper left corner.
      You can further customize your timeline by moving it, changing the size, color, text, and more.
