How to Set a Tax Policy

This guide provides essential steps for managing tax policies on HyperGuest, covering both updating existing tax policies and creating new ones.

Updating an Existing Tax Policy

Navigate to [https://app.hyperguest.com](https://app.hyperguest.com/bookings) Click on the **Properties** tab.

In the search field, enter the **Property ID** and select your **property**.

In the left menu, click on **Taxes & Fees**.

Open the **Taxes** section and **tap** the **three dots** on the right side.

Click **Edit**, make the necessary modifications and **Confirm**.

Creating New Tax Policy

In the left menu, click on **Taxes & Fees**.

Click **Create** and choose **Tax**.

**Fill in** the **Value, Scope,** **Frequency** and Default Rate-Plan Relation of the relevant Tax.

Default Rate-Plan Relation: **Display** = To be paid at destination. **Included** = It's being sent included in the price pushed from the channel manager. **Add** = HyperGuest will add it on top of the price that is being sent from the channel manager.

**Optional**: If you want to set **specific dates** for the tax policy, click **Advanced**, choose the **effective dates**, and **confirm**.
