How to Log a Call Or a Meeting in HubSpot

HubSpot

To Log a Call

Navigate to Contact Record

In the Activities Tab - Click "Calls"

Click "Log Call"

Under Contacted: Click down arrow to add more participants. This can be other team members (like RSM or internal staff).

Click the "Search contacts" field.

Type in name of who was on call/meeting with you

Check mark by name of each participant. (this could be people from outside OR inside our organization)

Next Click "Select an outcome"

Click appropriate response

Make sure you select a CALL TYPE.

Call types include -Account Management, Customer Service Issue, Ktruck Delivery with Rep Onsite, Product Demo, Prospecting, Qualifying, Rep Assisted Truckload, LTL Delivery, Setting Appointment

Choose appropriate type

Click "Select call direction"

Click "Outbound or Inbound"

Click in "Describe the call" box and type notes about what the call was about

Example) "Talked to Cheryl about missing items from shipment"

Click "Associated with X# of records"

Choose which records this 'call' should be logged against. You should always log it to the Company and Contact and then any Deal it may pertain to.

Click "Log activity"

To Log a Meeting

Navigate to Contact or Company Record

Click "Meetings"

Click "Log Meeting"

Add in Attendees (this could be people from outside OR inside our organization) -

Click "Select meeting outcome"

Choose appropriate outcome.

Tip! Make sure you select a MEETING TYPE.

Meeting Types include -Account Management, Customer Service Issue, Ktruck Delivery with Rep Onsite, Product Demo, Prospecting, Qualifying, Rep Assisted Truckload, LTL Delivery, Setting Appointment

Describe the meeting

Example "Dropped off catalogs."

Choose which records this 'meeting' should be logged against. You should always log it to the Company and Contact and then any Deal it may pertain to.
