    Connect a Xero organisation to your account

    Start the process

    Click on the **Connect to Xero** button to add a Xero company
    Login to your Xero account

    Connect a new organisation

    Xero will now allow you to choose the organisation you wish to connect. Use the drop-down to select from the list.
    Click on **Allow access** to connect the selected organisation with generate.TAX
    You cannot add the same Xero organisation to different generate.TAX accounts – you will need to add the organisation to your generate.TAX account and then share this with your users within generate.TAX. This is a security limitation of the Xero’s API.

    Reconnect an organisation

    To reconnect an organisation (the organisation in the drop-down will be greyed out and cannot be selected), click on the **Continue with organisations** button

    Using the Xero Connected apps

    You can disconnect an organisation from within generate.TAX however in some cases, before reconnecting you may need to remove it from the Xero **Connected apps** in your Xero settings.
    Click **Disconnect** next to all instances of generate.TAX
    Finalise the step to disconnect the app
