      Tip! You can hide your LinkedIn profile without deleting it by following this steps.

      Go to the LinkedIn website and log in.

      Click under your profile picture in your LinkedIn homepage.

      Click “View profile”

      Click the “Edit public profile & URL” option in the right panel.

      Find the “Edit Visibility” section on the right-hand side of your screen and look for a toggle button next to the text saying “Your profile’s public visibility.” It will currently be set to “On.”

      Click the toggle to set it to “Off.” This will hide your profile from search engines and non-LinkedIn users. A confirmation message will appear and changes will be applied automatically.

      Important: After you make changes or edits to your public profile, search engines like Google, Yahoo, or Bing can take several weeks or months to detect changes and refresh. LinkedIn doesn’t control that refresh process. If you’re incorrectly appearing in search results on those sites, you can contact them directly to resolve incorrect search results.
