Make a Calendar in Google Sheets From Scratch

    1
Go to Google Sheets, and open a Blank spreadsheet [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11yQjHlR4yOj2gag5r98eh2RO4n2HyQOptMRENdhhltU/edit?gid=0#gid=0)
    2
In the first cell (A1), enter a month and a year.
    3
Highlight the cells A1 through G1.
    4
Look for the “Merge cells” button in the Menu bar. You may need to click the three vertical dots.
    5
    Click the “Merge cells” button.
    6
Center the text in this row using the Horizontal align tool. You may need to look for it by clicking the three vertical dots, and it may be right next to the “Merge cells” button.
    7
In the second row (cells A2 to G2), enter the days of the week from Sunday to Saturday. For a shortcut, just type [[Sunday]] and drag the cell selector all the way to cell G2.
    8
The remaining days of the week will be autofilled.
    9
Select all the cells and center the text.
    10
In the third row, enter the number [[1]] under the day your month starts. For example, January 2025 started on a Wednesday, so I typed 1 in cell D3.
    11
Fill in the rest of the dates. You can do this manually or use a formula to speed up the process. Because my start date is in cell D3, I'll enter the formula [[=D3+1]] in the next cell and hit enter.
    12
Then drag the cell selector to the end of the row to autofill that week's dates.
    13
Now the row is autofilled with the numbers.
    14
You will have to repeat the same process for every week.
    15
Add new rows between each week by right-clicking and selecting Insert 1 row above or below.
    16
Repeat the process for every week.
    17
Select the new rows you just inserted. You can do this by clicking each row while pressing [[cmd]]
    18
Resize the rows to your liking.
    19
Use the toolbar to adjust font, font size, fill color, and text formatting as needed to improve readability.
