Sometimes a Customer will be listed twice if there is a difference in spelling. Best practice is to merge the two, if there is history in both.
Note that the QBO menu changes often. Navigate your way to "Customers"
In this sample, there are 2 "Clark Kent's" because the first name is spelled differently. the Clark with no "e" is the correct client we want to keep.
Click here.
Click on the name you want to KEEP, we will copy the correct name into the incorrect.
Click "Edit"
Copy the name in the Customer Display Name
Now go to the INcorrect name and click edit to change the display name.
When you save, it will acknowledge that there is a duplicate and asks to merge. Click yes.
