Importing into Epic Media Manager

Start by indexing the patient and selecting the correct patient for the transaction via the indexing process.

Add any of your custom fields that may be required or needed such as "document type" etc.

Select "Patients" and "Save Patient"

Select the "Pop Out Arrow" icon

Click the "Download Arrow" icon

Name your document and click "Save" to then the document to your location like your desktop or shared drive.

Go back to Tracker and clear the transaction from the Inbound Item Worklist using "Clear from List" found under "Actions"

Go to patient look-up and select your patient

Pull up your patient and from the media manager screen select "Import"

Double click on “This PC,” dbl click V Client, double click users, select your AD username and locate the source folder your documents are saved in

Select the appropriate document type

Use an approved naming convention, and click "Accept" to import the document into Epic
