How to Rename a Repository in GitHub
Have you ever named a repository and wished you could change it? You can! In fact, the process is quite simple. Follow these steps to rename a repository in GitHub.

Locate the repository you want to rename by finding it from your repositories page.

Open the repository page for the repo you want to rename.

Click Settings directly above the repository description.

Next, change the text under Repository name.

Click Rename, and GitHub will save your new repository name. That's it!
