How to Request Articles of Incorporation from the New Mexico Secretary of State Website

Navigate to [https://portal.sos.state.nm.us/BFS/online/corporationbusinesssearch](https://portal.sos.state.nm.us/BFS/online/corporationbusinesssearch)

Select "Contains" as your search type

Insert your organizations legal entity name into the "Entity Name / DBA Name" field

Click the box next to "I'm not a robot" for the captcha

Click "Search"

Click on your organization's Entity Name

Note your organization's exact "Entity Name"...

And "Business ID#"

Scroll down and click this icon next to "Filing History"

Find the document labeled as "Certificate of Incorpation"

And note the "Filing #"

NOTE: if your organization's current name is different than the one listed on your Articles of Incorporation (e.g., Creation Filing) you'll also need to order any Articles of Amendment or DBA/Fictious Name documentation showing the connection between your original and your current entity name

I am reaching out because our organization is enrolling in Apple's developer program to publish an app, and they have requested that we provide them our Articles of Incorporation and any subsequent Articles of Amendment/DBA documentation.
