How to Schedule a Remote Tutoring Appointment

Navigate to [https://libguides.hacc.edu/learningcommons/tutoring](https://libguides.hacc.edu/learningcommons/tutoring)

Click the "Remote Tutoring Appointment" button (or the "Remote Appointment" title)

Click "Click Here to Schedule an Appointment"

Click the first dropdown to select your course.

Writing/Essay Help

You should see all classes you are registered for. You also have the option to schedule for Writing/Essay help. *This is meant for any writing assignments that are not for an English class (Psychology, Sociology, etc.).*

Click the second dropdown and select "Tutoring Appointment."

Choose a service / reason...

You will see the first available appointments. Click "Load more..." to see more appointment days and times.

If you would like to look for a future appointment or for an appointment on a specific day, click "date"

Click the dropdown and select one of the options. Click "Choose a date..." if you would like to enter an exact date.

Enter your preferred date where you see "Choose a date:", then click "Search..."

All available appointments for your course on that day will be listed. Click on the appointment block to schedule your appointment.

Click the "Please enter any additional details you like to cover?" field, and type a brief description of what you would like to work on during your session.

It is helpful for the tutor if you are as specific as possible with this answer. The tutors can review topics and/or collect materials that may help them assist you.

Click "Close" to complete the scheduling process

Your appointment is now scheduled. You will receive a confirmation email at your HAWKmail email address.

You can also view any scheduled appointments by returning to the Tutoring homepage and clicking the "Remote Tutoring Appointment" button.

This is what you will see next time you click on the "Remote Tutoring Appointment" button. 

Click the edit button to make changes to your appointment.

Click the "X" to cancel your appointment.
