    How to Set Up Detailed & Daily Revenue Reports?

    As a hotelier, you should have an overview of the origin of your revenue streams to better understand where to optimise and capitalise on your hotel's service. With Detailed and Daily Revenue Reporting, you can attribute all revenue collected from guests across all revenue streams (categories) and track them in the original reservation log. This feature enables you to tag ledgers and add-ons to revenue groups, which can assign items to specific revenue streams. This makes it easier for you to understand revenue breakdown and keep track of any suppliers you may need to settle costs with.

    How to create Revenue Groups?

    Click "Finance" module.

    Click "Revenue Groups" tab.

    Click "+ ADD »"

    Give your Revenue Group a name like a ‘Beach Bar’ or ‘Lounge bar’.

    Revenue groups must be set up correctly to avoid inaccurate information being pulled for the Year-on-Year Report (YoY), daily and detailed revenue reports and actual vs. budget reports.

    Please note: It is advised that for every add-on, an individual ledger gets matched with that add-on. Commonly, we see that you will create only 3 ledgers and assign them to add-ons only to indicate VAT changes. However, for accounting purposes, ledgers should be as detailed as the add-ons themselves, even if there are ledgers that have the same VAT amounts. When selling a bottle of water to guests, it's important to use the correct Add-on name, such as "Water Bottle," and match it with the corresponding ledger labelled "Water Bottle," which includes a VAT of 10%. Make sure to link the water bottle add-on and ledger to the appropriate revenue group.

    Click the "Ledgers" tab.

    Link your revenue group to an existing ledger or create a new ledger to link the new ledger to a revenue group.

    You can assign revenue groups to specific VAT codes, percentages, and POS categories/groups.

    How to link revenue group to Add-ons?

    Click the "My Property" module.

    Select the Add-On you want to link.

    Select the Revenue Group you want to link the Add-on to.

    If you want to make sure that your revenue groups are accurately assigned to your ledgers and add-ons, you can access the Reports module. This module displays an overview report on revenue.
