      Logging In for the First Time

      From any web browser navigate to [https://office.com](https://office.com)
      Click "Sign in"
      Type your school email address and click "Next"
      Type your password and click "Sign in"
      You'll be now be prompted to add a verification method for your account. We recommend using the Microsoft Authenticator app on a mobile phone or tablet that you will have access to when not on campus; alternatively you can add a mobile or home phone number to receive verification codes.       Click "Next" when you receive a prompt to add additional information.
      This guide assumes you will use the Microsoft Authenticator (available for iPhone/iPad/Android) app as your initial verification method however you can add a mobile/home phone number by clicking "I want to set up a different method" in the next step.
      Download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your additional device For iPhone/iPad: [https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/microsoft-authenticator/id983156458](https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/microsoft-authenticator/id983156458) For Android: [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.azure.authenticator](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.azure.authenticator) Click Next to begin adding a Microsoft Authenticator mobile app verification method
      On your laptop: Click "Next" On your second device: Tap the [[+]] button at the top right of the screen on your phone Tap "Work and School"
      Tap "Scan a QR code" on your phone (allow access to camera if required) and scan the QR code on the laptop. Click "Next"
      Once connected, Microsoft will send a test notification to check your multi-factor authentication is setup correctly. You will be prompted to enter the number displayed on your laptop into your phone
      Click "Next"
      You will be shown a confirmation message that your setup is complete

      Adding a phone number as a verification method

      To edit existing or add additional verification methods to your account navigate to [https://office.com](https://office.com) and sign in. Click your initials in the top right hand corner.
      Click "View account"
      Click "Security info"
      Click here:
      Click "Add sign-in method"
