    How to Setup the Free SSL for Domain in Hosting Account

    In your Internet browser go to https://lttwebhost.net:8443

    **Your Plesk Customer Hosting Panel login screen appears.** In the "**Username**" field, type your web hosting username and in the "**Password**" field, type in your server assignment password. The login credential information is in your "**New Account Information**" email you received after your hosting account became active. If you can't find the email, contact [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) as soon as possible and we will resend your credentials.

    Click the "**Log in**" button to enter your panel.

    Click the "**Dashboard**" tab.

    Under the Security section, click the "**SSL/TLS Certificates**" link.

    Scroll to the bottom of the next screen and click on the grey "**Install**" button for **Let's Encrypt**.

    The next screen shows your settings. **Check** the box for "**Include a "www" subscription for the domain and each selected alias**". This will secure the www version of your website. Make sure the "**Email address**" is correct.

    Check the box beside "**Secure webmail on this domain**". This will secure your webmail.

    Check the box beside "**Assign the certificate to the mail domain**". This will secure your IMAP, POP and SMTP for email send/receive.

    Click the blue button "**Get it free**". Your free SSL certificate through Let's Encrypt will be installed for your domain, website and email.

    In the SSL/TLS screen, you will see green check marks beside all that is secured with the certificate.

    Click "**Show additional components to secure**".

    Here you will see that the "**Wildcard SSL/TLS certificate**" is not secured. This is ok unless you specifically need your certificate to have wildcard included. In most cases it isn't required unless you are using a CDN like Cloudflare to mange your website's DNS. To secure yoru certificate even more, click on the "**HSTS**" slider button.

    Make sure the **2 check boxes** are selected, then click on the blue "**Enable HSTS**" button.

    Click the slider on under "**OCSP Stapling**" feature.

    Click the "**Websites & Domains**" link at the top of the left grey menu.

    Scroll down to the **Security** section to where you see "**SSL/TLS Certificates**". It should say "**Safe and sound**". This means your free SSL is totally configured for the strongest security.

    Your free certificate does expire and needs to be renewed after 3 months. Click "**Websites & Domains**" in the left menu bar. Then scroll down to **Security** section and click on **SSL/TLS Certicates**. You will see the certificates expiry date. You will receive a reminder prior to the date of expiry. You will need to use these steps in this guide to renew free SSL certificate.

    **In order to check if your SSL certificate is installed properly** you need to click on "**Dashboard**". Put your mouse on the preview window of your website and click "**Open in web**". A new browser tab will open with your domain & website showing. You should see a **padlock** or **horizontal slider icon**. This means your website and domain are securely showing in browser. It you see a yellow error alert where the icon is your SSL configuration is not correct. You will need to reinstall & configure by redoing the steps above to reinstall the certificate.
