How to Sign a Document sent for Signature from the Matter Activity Timeline

Navigate to the Matter Profile Page.

Find "E-Signature Sent" in the Matter Activity Timeline

Click the "Copy" icon next to Click to Sign to copy a link to the signature request to copy the Signature link to your clipboard. This is helpful for situations where you want to send or re-send the signature link to the signer in a separate email or text.

Click "Click to Sign" to open the document and sign it immediately. You may want to do this so that you can hand your computer, iPad, etc. to a client if they are ready to sign the Engagement Agreement in person.

A disclaimer will appear, notifying you that signing the document without sending the link to the recipient's email or phone number may invalidate the eSignature under the ESIGN act. To proceed, click "OPEN"

Click "I agree to use electronic records and signatures as per the Terms of Use"

Click "START"

Complete all the form fields and sign where necessary.

You can Draw or Type the Signature.

Once complete, click "Sign"

After all the fields and signatures are complete, click "I'M READY TO SUBMIT"

Click "SUBMIT"

Once submitted, you will be redirected to this page, notifying you that the document was signed and submitted successfully.
