How to Update Manually via Harness on Inovelli 2 - 1 Blue Series Switch
If the switch is connected to mains power, ensure power to the switch is disconnected. Failure to do so could result in damage to the switch, firmware updating tool, and attached computer.
If the programmer does not have the wires connected, please refer to this image and pin arrangement info:

Attaching the Updater to Switch
If the switch is connected to mains power, ensure power to the switch is disconnected. Failure to do so could result in damage to the switch, firmware updating tool, and attached computer.

Pull the Air Gap Tab on your Switch

Press in tabs on switch cover and lift up to remove.

Plug the USB connector into your computer

Note the location of the red wire on the debugging tool. It will be on one of the ends.

Note the location of the square pin hole. The pin connected to the red wire needs to be inserted in this hole.
(The logic board was removed from the switch for clarity. A slot is cut in the switch plate to allow access.)

Plug in the debugging tool, matching the red wire to the square pin hole.
