The first thing you will need to do is prepare your data. We advise using a spreadsheet. LOOP accepts both XLS, CSV, JSON and GeoJSON formats. For each location you want to import, you will need to provide coordinates. We accept 2 different options: - latitute/longitude, from which we will geo-code the address - the address, from which we will retrieve the latitute/longitude
A file with lat/long has to have at least 3 columns (Name, Lat, Long). Everything else is optional - including the Category.
When an address is provided, it can either be in 1 cell (like in the example below) or in the multiple cells (one cell for the postcode, one for the street name, one for the street number). Again, everything else is optional.
Go to your Targomo LOOP project...
      Open the Settings
On the Location Uploads page, click "Upload Locations"
Click on the Upload icon or simply drag your file
LOOP will detect how the addresses in your file are formatted. Should you want to change it, click on the dropdown next to "My file includes..."
The 3 formatting options will be available here.
Once you have matched the right fields together, click "Next"
If your file did not contain any column for grouping locations together (such as brand or type of store), then simply select "Single Category". If the uploaded locations belong to your network, then select "My network" in the dropdown.
If you have prepared you file to include categories, then select "Multiple Categories". There you can choose the column that will be used to group locations together.
      Finally, click "Import"
And all your locations will be in the project
