    How to Use Asset Type Data in BrightInvestor

    Search for your desired location in the "Enter Address, Zip Code, or City" field and press **Enter.**
    In **Step 1** of the sidebar that appears, select **Asset Type.**
    In **Step 2** of the sidebar, there are three **Categories** to choose. We'll try all of them, but let's start with **Property Type.**
    You can view data by the latest available, or you can watch the change over time. We'll stick with latest data for this tutorial.
    You can view data by a specific *Type,* or compare them all at once. Press **All** for this tutorial.
    You can choose to view data from any year since 2011. Since we want the latest data, click **2021\.**
    You can also change your *Data Boundary* from **Zip Code** to **City By Zip Code.** For this tutorial, we'll stick with **City By Zip Code.**
    If all the filters fit your criteria, we're ready to view the data! Click **Generate Map.**
    In **Step 3** of the sidebar, you can view a pie chart separating *Property Types* by the number in your *Data Boundary*. You can also **hover** your mouse over the chart and find the exact number of that type.
    On a white to green scale, the map is colored so you can easily find where housing is most dense. **Hover** your mouse over the map to see the figures.
    You can add the generated data as a **Layer.** This will allow you to stack data types on your map. Let's click that now.
    Enter your *Layer Name* and click **Save**
    You've finished finding *Property Type*! Now press **Step 2** to find *Property Age.*
    In **Step 2** of the sidebar, select the **Property Age** Category.
    To get the latest data, we'll keep all the same filters we had for **Property Type** and generate the map.
    In **Step 3** of the sidebar, you can view a pie chart separating properties by age. You can also **hover** your mouse over the chart for more information.
    Add the map to your layers so you can stack this data and hide/unhide it.
    Enter your *Layer Name* and click **Save**.
    Nice work! You've finished mapping Austin's *Property Age* data. Now click **Step 2** to research the last category.
    In **Step 2** of the sidebar, select the **Property Count** Category and generate a map with the same filters.
