Download the Zoom desktop app and install it on your laptop.\

Once installed, decide whether to update Zoom automatically by checking the option, then click "Done"

Click "Sign Up" if you do not have a Zoom account, "Sign In" otherwise.

Click "Get Started" to customize your account settings

Change your display name if needed and click "Next"

Connect your Calendar and Contacts, or click "Skip"

Click "Let’s Go"

The next steps will ensure your camera and mic are set up properly

Click the gear icon (Settings) at the top right

Click "Audio" on the left

Click "Test Speaker"

Click "Stop" to stop the sound

If you cannot hear the sound, select a different speaker from the dropdown list on the right.\
If using external earphones or headsets, look for an option with your device's brand name

Click "Test Mic" and speak.\
Release and listen to the recording

Click "Recording" when done to listen to the recording

If you cannot hear your voice, pick a different mic from the dropdown list on the right.\
If using an external mic, look for an option with your device's brand name
