Missing or late to meetings even though you're sitting in front of your computer working? Adding the Google Calendar App to Slack is a great way to stay on top of upcoming meetings and also give others that you're unaccessible when in a meeting (maybe they'll hold off on sending that message, but probably not :)). Here's how to add Google Calendar to Slack.

      Add Google Calendar to Slack

      Open the Slack desktop app
In the sidebar, Click "More" and select "Apps"
Type "Calendar" into the search bar and click "Google Calendar" to add the Google Calendar app to Slack
      Click "Connect Account"
Click Allow to give Google Calendar permission to integrate with Slack
Select the Google account you'd like to connect
      Click "Allow"
Turn on automatic status updates (if you like!). Doing so will show you as busy on Slack whenever during any Google Calendar meeting.

      "Star" Google Calendar

Doing this shows the app under your "Starred" section, right at the top of your channels so you never miss it.
      Open the Google Calendar App
Click the down arrow next to Google Calendar
      Click the star icon
      Click "Starred"
