    How to apply coatings in the Glass Designer

    Apply a coating to the entire pane

    Enter your glass details, then click **"Add Cutout"**

    Click **"+ Coating"**

    Select an option from the **"Coating Type''** field. This will apply the selected coating to the glass panel you are editing.

    Check the **"Face"** field to see which face of the panel the coating has been applied to. Click into this field to apply the coating to a different panel face.

    *(Optional)* Select a **"Color"** and / or enter a **"Color Name"** The Color Name will be included on your Glass Order report / diagrams.

    Click **"Apply Coating"** to apply this coating process to the glass.

    Click **"Processes"** to see or edit this coating process.

    Apply a partial coating

    Enter your glass details, then go to the **"Add Cutout"** tab. Click on **"+ Coating''** to apply a coating.

    Select an option from the **"Coating Type''** field. This will apply the selected coating to the glass panel you are editing.

    Check the **"Face"** field to see which face of the panel the coating has been applied to. Click into this field to apply the coating to a different panel face.

    Enter values into any of the **''Margin"** fields. This will remove the coating from whichever edge you specify, by the value entered. For example, the glass panel below now has a margin of 5" at the top and bottom, and 10" on the left and right, where the coating is not applied.

    By default, the **"Total Charged Area"** for this coating is the entire Glass Area of the panel. If you only want to charge for the specified area (i.e. Panel Area minus margins) enter the actual charged area here.

    Click **"Apply Coating"** to apply this partial coating to the glass

    Click **"Processes"** to see or edit this coating process.
