    How to create a backup by Exporting Components

    No student data or user data will be exported in the copy.

    Login to VU Collaborate [vucollaborate.vu.edu.au](http://vucollaborate.vu.edu.au) and navigate to your space.

    In your unit delivery or master space, on the navbar, select **Space Admin**.

    Click **Import / Export / Copy Components**.

    Choose **Export Components**.

    Click **Start**.

    To copy all content, tick **Select All Components**.

    If you want to copy only some of the components, **tick the checkbox** and **click the radio button** for each required item.

    Click **Continue**.

    In the **Confirm Components to Export** window, check that all selected export items are correct. If not, click **Go Back** to modify the selection.

    **Remember:** to tick to select **Include course files in the export package**.

    If the selected export items are correct, make sure the checkbox **Include course files in the export package** is selected.

    Click **Export**.

    You will be redirected to the **Export started** page. Select **Done**.

    Depending on the amount of content you choose to export, this process can take some time.

    Once you are notified that the export is complete, select the **notifications** icon.

    Click **Export finished**.

    **Click here to download the export Zip package**, then select **Done**.

    From your **Downloads**, select the **zipped package**.

    PLEASE NOTE: Zip files can be imported into VU Collaborate, however, the **H5P activities, Readings, and Panopto videos** will need to be re-added; otherwise, an **'Unavailable QuickLink'** message will be displayed.\ \ If you would like to import the backup .Zip file into another VU Collaborate space, please contact [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) for more instructions.
