Enter a name for this rate. Remember, an instructor can have multiple pay rates, so if that's the case, we'd recommend making the name as descriptive as possible.

In this example, we're going to be setting up a pay rate type whereby the instructor earns a certain amount per customer that attended the class or appointment, so select the "Per Customer" option.

3
Enter the amount the instructor earns per customer who attended each session.

Under 'Event Types', below each venue, select the classes, appointments, or courses that apply. Note that only events with past or future time slots taking place at the venue will appear here.

If an event is already linked to an active pay rate, this will be flagged via a tooltip, as seen below. If you wish, you can override the existing rate by clicking "Override Existing Rate".

6
To proceed with the override, click 'Override'. Please note that once you click 'Override', the change takes effect immediately, i.e., that event will no longer be tied to the previous rate.

The 'Advanced Settings' allow you to configure whether the rate includes customers who late cancelled, no-showed, or were booked in for free by you or your staff from the business side (if they are not selected, they will not be counted).

You can also set a rate cap per session. For example, if you set a cap of £30 per session, that is the maximum amount the instructor will get for that session, regardless of how many customers register for the session.

The 'Base Rate' option allows you to set a minimum rate the instructor should earn if no one attends the session. For example, if no one attends a Yoga class, but you have a base rate of £3, the instructor will earn £3 for that session.

When you're done configuring the rate, click 'Save'.

On the next page, you'll see a summary of the rate you just created listed along with any other rates the instructor has.
Important! Please note that pay rates cannot be edited once created. If you need to change a rate, you'll need to archive it by clicking the 'Archive' button next to it and then creating a new one.
