How to email a single student and/or their contacts in PowerSchool

Navigate to [https://lposd.powerschool.com/teachers/home.html](https://lposd.powerschool.com/teachers/home.html)

Click this image.

Click "Student One
, Default student screen"

Click this dropdown and select Send New Email.

If needed, click "Authorize" and authorize Google.

Click the "Email As (Name)" field. I change it to not have my middle name.

Click the 'Send to Student' checkbox to send to the student.

Click the 'Send to Contacts' checkbox to open the list of email addresses available. Best practice is to check for any that have 'Receives Mail' selected

Click the dropdown next to each contact to select how the email should be sent.
Tip! For email, you use Cc when you want to copy others publicly and Bcc when you want to do it privately. Any recipients on the Bcc line of an email are not visible to others on the email.

Add in the subject, and all text to the appropriate boxes.
