How to enter scans into your GENIUS logbook

Click "Log In"

Navigate to the Logbook in the section My Training

Click "New Submission"

Make sure to complete all fields with an asterisks. If you need more information about the field, hover over the Question mark at the top right of each field. Please note this is a totally DE-IDENTIFIED logbook. It is IMPERATIVE THAT NO PATIENT IDENTIFIERS ARE USED, to ensure patient confidentiality.

Select patient type. You will be able to choose from non-IBD patient, IBD patient in remission, or IBD patient with pathology.

If you select IBD patient with pathology, you will be asked to select the pathology. If the patient has more than one pathology, select one and add further details in the impressions section.

Score the image quality as either adequate or inadequate to estimate the confidence in your findings (not confident at all versus confident)

The Impressions section is for you to document YOUR thoughts, impression and plan. If you found activity - is it actionable. Important to think about how findings guide your decision making - for example - would you do further investigations, change medical management, consult surgery etc.

The aim of the limitation and challenges section is to help guide which areas of the bowel (small or large) you may struggle with / peculiarities of this patient that may help provide insight for future exams. For example prior surgery, post op anatomy, hidden/ challenging bowel, deeper pelvic loops etc.

Select whether you were able to complete the scan independently,

The comments section is solely meant for your learning. You can provide yourself with insights / successes of this particular scan

Your list of supervisors, should be automatically populated by the group (training site) you have chosen in your profile. If your supervisor's name is not there, please go back to your profile and ensure you have selected the right training site.
