    How to set up the Syncro Power BI Template App

      Go to Power Bi settings by pressing the gear icon in the top right and pressing Admin Portal under Governance and to enable installing templates from outside the organization

      Click "Install"

      Click "Install another copy of the app into a new workspace" and type a name of your choice for your new workspace.

      Click "Install"

      Wait for the App to install (can take a few minutes), and then click "Go to app"

      Once the App is open, it will display fake data. To connect your account, click "Connect your data"

      Go to your Syncro account > Admin page > "API Tokens"

      Click "New Token"

      Create an API Token with the following permissions: Assets - View Details Assets - List/Search Appointments - View All Customers - List/Search Customers - View Details Contracts - List/Search Estimates - List/Search Estimates - View Details Products - List/Search Payments - View List Pending Orders - View All Invoices - List/Search Invoices - View Details Line Item - View Cost Tickets - List/Search Tickets - View Details Leads - List/Search Marketr - View Campaigns Parts Orders - List/Search Parts Orders - View Purchase Orders - List/Search Purchase Orders - View Details Reports - View Recurring Invoices - List Vendors - List Vendors - View Details Warranties - List Warranties - View Details Ticket Timers - Overview Timelogs - Manage RMM Alerts - List

      Give your API key a name

      Click "Create API Token"

      Copy the API Key to your clipboard

      Return back to Power BI, enter your Subdomain (do not include [syncromsp.com](http://syncromsp.com), just your subdomain) and the API Key you just created

      IMPORTANT: Make sure that Privacy Level is set to "Public" for all 17 steps. You will see a modal saying "You are connecting to (1 of 17). You will have to click "Sign in and continue" 17 times to get through all of these modals.

      Click "Sign in and continue" 17 times, ensuring that Privacy Level is set to "Public" all 17 times.

      Power BI will now import your data. Depending on how much data you have, this can take up to two hours. Sometimes it completes but does not automatically refresh your browser. Feel free to close the tab or refresh the page while you wait, as this does not affect the data refresh.
