With a successful business career under my belt, although I am still very active professionally, I now have the time and energy to take on more pro bono commitments and I would be honoured to support the College in its important mission, if it was thought I could be helpful.

As both a Sussex constituency MP  and a government minister, I visited dozens of schools, from Eton, to primary schools in very deprived areas and got to know my own local schools well. It was evident in all of these institutions,  that above all it was the quality of the school leadership that had the biggest impact on the life chances of most pupils. However all children, regardless of background, still have to navigate an increasingly challenging, complex and uncertain world.
