Installing FASTR DHIS2 Data Downloader on a WB Computer

Download Software

In a new tab, navigate to <https://github.com/worldbank/DHIS2-Downloader/releases>

Click on version labelled "Latest".

Click ".exe" file if you are installing on a Windows computer or the ",dmg" file if you are installing on a Mac.

The application will be downloaded and saved to your downloads folder.
Request Software Installation

Naviagate to eservices/ on the World Bank intranet <https://worldbankgroup.service-now.com/wbg> Click the "Search for Services & KB Articles" field.

Type "software"

Click "Software Installation Request"

Click in the Software Name and type "Dhis2 Downloader"

Select "DHIS2 Downloader"

Under property number, select your laptop.

Respond to " Do you or your unit have a license for the selected software" by clicking "Yes". ***Note:*** This is a free, open-source software application. No license is required.

Click the box under the terms and conditions.

Click "Order Now"
Install Software

IT will set up a time with you to use their admin credentials to install the software. Please have the software ready in your downloads folder (see first section on downloading software)

When installing the software, please ask the IT admin to select "Only for me (WBGLocal)".

And then to select the destination folder to place the softare in your user profile.

This should be the final destination folder.

Finally, ask the IT admin to make a shortcut to your start menu so you can easily find where to launch the software.
