      Before installing Intune, we must update your computer's hostname to meet HSIS standards.

      Updating Hostname

      Click "System Settings" located on the dock.

      Locate and click the search box and type "hostname"

      Click "Hostname, Sharing"

      Click the Edit… button

      Click the Local hostname text field and type the new name following the HSIS standard, area-username, and click "OK". \ \ In this case, you should use **ob-xxxxx**. For example, my username is jesteen and the new hostname will be **ob-jesteen**. If you have multiple devices, append "-x" to the hostname. i.e., ob-jesteen-1, ob-jesteen-2

      Click the red X to close the System Settings window.

      Install Intune

      Locate the downloaded Intune installer. In most instances, this will be in your system's Downloads folder. Double-click the Intune installer to begin the installation. Type your password if your system requests it.

      Click "Continue" again.

      Review and click "Agree" to continue.

      Click "Install" and type your password if prompted.

      Click "Close"

      Click "Move to Trash"

      Microsoft AutoUpdater

      You may be prompted by Microsoft AutoUpdate. It is not required to continue the Intune setup. You may close the Microsoft AutoUpdate window for now and skip to **Step 20**
