Start a search in amberSearch easily from your intranet to increase accessibility for your team and visibility of amberSearch! Below we have used examples from a SharePoint integration.
Depending on the system you want to integrate amberSearch into, the support of a system administrator or site administrator is needed to allow the domain of the IFrame (the domain that runs amberSearch on your site) in that system. In addition, we need the domain of the system in which amberSearch is to be embedded to allow this as well. Ask your administrator for support or contact [support@ambersearch.de](mailto:support@ambersearch.de). The following steps are an example for a SharePoint integration.
For the system administrator (SharePoint example): Navigate to the SharePoint (site) that is to receive the IFrame [https://customerName.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/settings.aspx](https://customerName.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/settings.aspx) or [https://customerName.sharepoint.com/sites/siteName/_layouts/15/settings.aspx](https://customerName.sharepoint.com/sites/siteName/_layouts/15/settings.aspx) Open the SharePoint page settings.
For the system administrator (SharePoint example): Navigate to Site Collection Administration > HTML Field Security. Add our domain to the allowed domains: Ex: [ambersearch.de](http://ambersearch.de) (This step must be performed by the SharePoint administrator)
For the system administrator (example SharePoint): Confirm the step by clicking on "Ok". (This step must be carried out by the SharePoint administrator)
For the page administrator (SharePoint example): Open a new tab and navigate to the SharePoint page where you want to add the IFrame.
For the page administrator (SharePoint example): Click on "Edit". (You may not have the permissions here if you are not a page administrator).
For the page administrator (SharePoint example): Add a new section. Click on "+" for this
For the page administrator (SharePoint example): Select "One column"
For the page administrator (SharePoint example): Add a new section within the newly created element
For the page administrator (SharePoint example): Select "Embed" from the drop-down menu
For the page administrator (SharePoint example): Paste the IFrame code: <iframe src="[kundenname.ambersearch.de/iframeSearchBarMiddle](http://kundenname.ambersearch.de/iframeSearchBarMiddle)..." width="800px" height="200px"></iframe>. The IFrame code has to be activated by us. If you have not received it yet, please ask your contact person for it.
For the page administrator (SharePoint example): Publish the revised SharePoint page
Perfect! Now anyone with access to the SharePoint site can launch amberSearch from here.
