Refer to the following guide to learn how to use IAM in the cloud<https://scribehow.com/shared/Creating_an_IAM_User_and_User_Group_in_AWS_Management_Console__hWNiiXlcRJKFqYZZEJD-cg>
1
Sign in to **AWS Management Console** as an **IAM User**
To explore **Regions**, select the **Regions** dropdown from the top right corner of the page
**What is a Region in AWS?**
A Region in AWS refers to a geographical area where AWS data centers are located. Each Region comprises multiple Availability Zones providing scalable and highly available infrastructure
2
To navigate to the Mumbai Region click on **Asia Pacific (Mumbai)** in the Region's dropdown
3
In any Cloud, there are some Global Services
Type **IAM** in the search bar and click on **IAM** to view the IAM Dashboard
4
Note that **IAM** operates Globally and hence the Region cannot be changed for the service
For regional services (EC2, etc.) different Regions can be selected from the Region dropdown, This allows the management of resources across multiple Regions
Refer to the following guide to learn more about Choosing Availability Zones for EC2 <https://scribehow.com/shared/Choosing_Availability_Zone_for_EC2_Instance__AcsOo9DWTUW_X8zozunJyg>
