        This Lab is based on the OpenManage Enterprise v4.0 virtual appliance. The database used for this Lab has been pre-populated. **None of the devices that appear in the console are directly connected to the OpenManage Enterprise v4.0 Console. You will not be able to do certain real-time tasks like launching an iDRAC Virtual Console, creating a template, or performing a firmware update.** However, the OpenManage Enterprise v4.0 Appliance is a live VM and not a simulator. You will have the ability to browse real menu options

        Welcome to the OpenManage Enterprise Hands-on Lab. This hands-on demonstration provides a comprehensive understanding of OpenManage Enterprise key features. While we suggest following the lessons in order, you are free to navigate to specific lessons independently. The OpenManage Enterprise v4.0 Advanced Guide, will focus on the the "Licensed" features of OpenManage Enterprise:  Bare-Metal Server Deployment (Configuration->Templates), Profiles, Auto Deploy and Configuration Compliance. We also cover the Power Manager plugin which is one of the key components within OpenManage. **Duration:** This lab is designed to be completed in approximately 90 minutes. **This module contains the following lessons:** - **Lesson 1 - Server deployment & configuration management options within OME (15 Minutes) -** Advanced -  This lesson covers how OpenManage Enterprise can discover new servers , configure the firmware and finally deploy an OS. **Lesson 2 - Backup and Restore Appliance Data (10 minutes)**  - Advanced - In this lesson, we will review the built in features to both Back and Restore the OME config. **Lesson 3 - Configuring OpenManage Enterprise iDRAC Password Rotation (15 Minutes) -** Advanced -  This lesson covers OpenManage Enterprise management of the credentials used to communicate & command the managed servers iDRACs. **Lesson 4 - Power Manager Plugin (15 Minutes) - -** Advanced - This lesson showcases how the Power Manager plugin offers management of power consumptions, thermal events, server utilization and additional reports including carbon emissions. ***It's important to note that this lab is based on a real OpenManage Enterprise v4.0 Appliance you will be restricted from performing certain actions.***
