      Navigate to Synbiotix
      Enter your username and password and click "Login"
      Select Helpdesk

      Log a Job

      Click "New Job"
      Choose the Job Category (the service required)
      If your system is only set up for one service (e.g.: you only use the system for portering requests) you won't need to select a category
      Select the job type\ \ You enter a search term in the "Type" drop-down box to refine the job list
      For certain jobs, you may have the option to request a return journey. To enable this feature change the toggle to "YES".\ \ Read more about return jobs here: <https://scribehow.com/shared/Return_Jobs__HOEyEp2hTV2ejHPCMjiLnw>
      The job priority is pre-set by the system but you can change it if needed
      The fields you need to fill out depend on the selected job type. Mandatory fields are highlighted in red
      Complete all required fields for the new job
      Your system might ask you to record a "Contact Method". This typically occurs when jobs are raised by the ward calling the switchboard, and then the switchboard enters the task into the system. It's important to record this information accurately as its used in system reports
      The Ready Date and Time defaults to the current time, but you can change this if needed
      If you're using resource auto-allocation, the Auto-assign Task toggle will be set to "YES". \ \ Change the toggle to "NO" to change the job to manual allocation. Remember, you will need to manually assign a resource to the job. The Resources Required is pre-set by the system, but you can change this if required
      Once you've entered all the required information, click "Save" or press F9
      After saving, a prompt will confirm that the job has been saved successfully. To return to the Operations Console, click "Back to Operations Console". To stay on this screen and add a new task, click "Add New Task". you'll need to fill out all fields again. Click "Duplicate Task" to replicate the task information for a new job. All fields will be pre-filled, and you can make any required changes before you save.
