    1
Search the new member's name to see if they're already in our system (and prevent entering a duplicate account).
    2
If they're not already in the system, click the Membership tab and select "Add Unit."
    3
Click on the preferred membership type.
    4
Enter name and contact info following M1. Membership - Style Guidelines for correct capitalization and punctuation.
    5
Enter an emergency contact as a safety measure. If this person is a member of the household as well, it will be easier to add them to the unit in the future if they choose to upgrade.
    6
Encourage the member to accept SMS Text messages - this allows us to send their scan tag barcode straight to their phone and send other messages like urgent weather updates or class cancellations. Enter the member's employer if they're joining as a corporate member or if they think their employer may be interested in corporate membership in the future.
    7
Ask the member what they're most interested in - this will allow us to send them the most relevant information during their first few weeks of membership. Click "Next" when complete.
    8
Review waiver/agreements information with the member, then click "Accept & Sign" and allow the member to sign off.
    9
Have the member sign and click "I AGREE"
    10
Select a draft date of the 1st or the 15th. Do NOT edit any other fields, including Auto-Renew, Monthly, and Next Process Date.
    11
Click the "Billing Method" dropdown to select bank draft (checking/savings) or credit card payment for this recurring membership. If the individual already has a card saved on file, that will display as an option. Enter payment information.
    12
Visually confirm that the membership dues amount is correct. Notice that membership dues are in the "Recurring Fees" box - these will be scheduled each month in the future. Underneath "Monthly Total" you can see that this rate is scheduled to start next month.
    13
Visually confirm that the joiner fee, prorated dues, and amount due today are correct. "Join Fee" and "Prorated Dues" are in the "One-time Fees" box because they will be paid one time upfront as part of today's transaction. Click "NEXT"
    14
Review final summary of payments due today. Click "NEXT"
    15
Depending on set-up at the time of your training, you may or may not encounter an opportunity to schedule an orientation. If it's available, please offer! This is a great way to get a new member connected. For now, we'll choose "SKIP, I'LL SCHEDULE THIS LATER"
    16
At this point, George has been added as a membership unit, but he hasn't paid. The reason for this step is that George may want to register for a program as well and have it all go into this same receipt (see "REGISTER FOR PROGRAMS" button below). By activating his member unit first, he will get the member rate on that program. For now, we'll go ahead and choose "MAKE A PAYMENT" to complete this transaction. ***If you fail to make the payment and instead move on to your next customer in Daxko, George will have an unscheduled payment sitting on his account as a balance.***
    17
Clicking "MAKE A PAYMENT" has taken us to George's Account Balance page where we can see everything he owes, which, in this case, is just today's one-time payment of the joiner fee and prorated membership dues. Click "MAKE PAYMENT"
    18
Select the method for today's payment. Notice that the payment method you saved earlier for the recurring membership dues will show up as an option in the drop-down. Click "SUBMIT" and you will be served a final alert pop-up that you're about to charge an account.
    19
Print or email the receipt to the member for their records.
    20
Choosing email will allow you to enter a custom message if you like.
