Mastery Connect: Practice Tracker

A practice tracker is a way you can project assessments and show your students how to navigate the test in a student window. This won't alter any of your student data as it is a seperate tracker.

Creating the Tracker

Go to Trackers Tab

Click here

Pick the Curriculum map that you used for your actual tracker.

Name it so you clearly know that it is the practice tracker. Click the drop down for "Add Students" and change it to "Add students individually"

Click here

You need to apply the same tools and accommodations to this practice tracker as you did to the real tracker.

Turn on any of the same Default Tools

Enable Language and Speech Settings (this is the text to speech tool)

Enable the dictionaries if you turned them on in your real tracker.

Save those settings.

Add Assessments to Both Trackers

Go to the assessment you want to demo for students. Click "+Add to Tracker"

Check all the boxes for trackers you want to assign this to. You can see in this image I have the "MATH PRACTICE" and my class "1st Grade Math" and I want this assessment in both trackers.

Using Practice Tracker to Project Student View

Go back to the Practice Tracker and click "Assess" for the assessment you want to project.

Click here to copy the Test ID. \*Remember your students still just log in through Clever

Turn on any tools that your students will have access to on their assessment.

Click here to open the student portal.

Paste that test ID you copied.

Type in the Student ID that you made when you created the demo student. In this case the ID was "1".

Now you can go through the test just like your students do.
