      Tip! When accessing your virtual visit or the [Device Check](https://telehealth.px.athena.io/device-check/) link, it important that you allow the athenaTelehealth application to access your camera and microphone. Usually, a pop will appear when you initial access either sight. One access is granted, you can join the visit or perform the Device Check.

      Activating the Camera and Microphone from the Google Chrome Address Bar

      If the pop-up or blocked permissions does not appear, click the **settings icon** in the left corner of the address box. The **Camera and Microphone settings** should be toggled on (as shown below). If not, click the slider button on for both items so athenaTelehealth is allowed access. NOTE: the settings icon could also look like a lock, depending on the version of Google Chrome you are using. Always use the latest version, if possible.

      Click **Camera and Microphone** to allow access. Also check the "**Allow on every visit**" box, if it has not been selected already.

      ALERT! STOP HERE if both the Camera and Microphone are set to "Allowed"! If the settings could not be activated, follow the detailed steps below.

      Activating the Camera and Microphone from the Google Settings

      Click the **three dots** in the upper righthand corner of your browser to access the Google Chrome settings menu.

      Scroll down and select "**Settings**"

      Click on **Privacy and Security**

      Click on **"Site settings"**

      Scroll down to the Camera and Microphone Settings. Both should say **"Sites can ask to use your...**". If not, go to the next step.

      Click on either the Camera or Microphone settings to see details. You can choose which device is used and adjust the "Default Behavior" so sites can ask to use you camera or microphone.

      Scroll further down to see which site are allowed to use your camera.

      When finished with adjusting the settings, exit the settings menu.
