        Lesson 1 - OpenManage Enterprise Home Portal navigation

        The OpenManage Enterprise home page gives you a complete picture of the status your Dell PowerEdge servers. It provides real-time status of all discovered devices including alerts, tasks, warranties and compliance information.

        If Firefox is not open, click on the **Firefox** icon on the desktop to open.

        At the Login screen the following credentials user : admin / password : Password123! will auto fill. Click "**Login**"

        The home page is the first page you will see when logged on to OpenManage Enterprise. The **Hardware Health** of all monitored servers is displayed in the left donut chart will display OK, warning & critical. The donut chart on the right shows **Alerts** received again broken down into information, normal, warning & critical. The **Recent Alerts** are displayed in the top right with Recent **Tasks** executed by OpenManage Enterprise reported in the bottom right on the screen. In the widget section of the dashboard underneath the donut is displayed status summary on warranty, firmware compliance, configuration management and the virtual appliance utilization. Click the green ok area of the **Hardware Health** donut.

        A list of healthy servers & other monitored devices is displayed. Click **X** in the top right corner to close.

        Click the yellow warning area of the **Alerts** donut.

        A list of warning alerts received is displayed. Click **X** in the top right corner to close.

        On the Dashboard below the health & alerts are built-in and optional widgets such as power manager . Power manager widgets are covered later. Click on the **"Warranty"** widget.

        A list of server with expired warranty details is displayed. Click **"Home"**.

        Use the scroll bar on the right on the screen to **Scroll down** to the **Power Manager** widget.

        In the lab environment we only have data from May to Dec 2023 , so will display less that the full 12 months that you would see in a live environment. From the **Duration** drop down menu select **"1 year"**.

        Click **Pencil** icon to edit.

        Click **ATC-11** checkbox.

        We can now see the power usage data graph for the selected server group for the last year. Move the mouse point to any position on a line in the graph to display point in time data.

As OpenManage Enterprise performs an agent free discovery an on-boarding task automatically categorizes the device, completes an inventory of the hardware plus firmware and audits the health status.
