In this lesson you will recover from a known good copy (which was analyzed by CyberSense and found that the copy is likely not infected) to a vault PPDM server
        1
Login to a new PPDM OVA deployment in the Vault that has a different hostname and IP address than the production PPDM server. From the desktop open the Google Chrome browser and open the **PPDM-Vault** link from bookmarks bar. Make sure Vault PPDM is in "**New Install**" state and not configured

        Production PPDM

        2
Access the Production PPDM through Chrome using the following credentials: **Username:** admin \ **Password:** Password123!
        3
Navigate to **Protection --> Protection Policies**. \ Review that the **Linux_Pre-FS** Policy is writing **client.demo.local (/temp)** data to MTree **/data/col1/Linux_Pre-FS-ppdm-f8672** on the Production DD ddveprod.demo.local.

        Data

        4
We have already replicated the **Good** and **Infected** PPDM Data from Production to Vault DD and ran **Copy Lock** in Module 1.\ \ After that, we analyzed the copy using CyberSense and that new copy was **INFECTED**. We will use the previous available **GOOD** Copy to recover data in Vault PPDM server. Before we can start the recovery process, we need to add the vCenter that runs the PPDM server in the Vault and the Vault PPDM server using the CR UI under **Assets --> vCenter** and **Assets --> Applications** respectively.

        Add Vault vCenter

        5
Navigate to **Assets --> vCenters** tab and click **Add** to add the vCenter
        6
Use the following information: **Nickname:** VC \ **FQDN or IP Address:** vcenter.vault.local \ **Username:** [email protected] \ **Password:** Password123! Click **Save**
        7
Navigate to **Assets --> Applications** tab Click **Add** to add the PPDM server using the following information: Nickname : **VaultPPDM** \ FQDN or IP Address: **ppdm.vault.local** \ Application Type: **PPDM** Host Username: **admin** \ Host Password: **@ppAdm1n**\ SSH Port Number: 22 Application Username: **admin** \ Application Password: **Password123!** \ vCenter Name: **VC**
