        Lesson 1 - Plugin modules available and installation

        The extensible architecture of OpenManage Enterprise allows you to select from a number of plugins to add attentional features. Plugins can easily be installed, updated or disabled from OpenManage Enterprise. Our first task is to review the installation of the plugins

        At the OpenManage Enterprise home page. Click **"Application Settings"**.

        Click **"Console and Plugins"**.

        Any OpenManage Enterprise console updates & all OpenManage Enterprise Plugins appear here. Installs, updates and if required disablements are shown & managed from this screen.

        Review information on screen, in our lab we have already install all the plugins including Power Manager & Services.

        Click **"Update Settings"** to review the methods used to check for update automatic or manual and the location of the update online or offline (local) .

        Review how to configure the update method automatically or manual and where the update is located dell support web site or local file share. Click **"Cancel".**

        Lesson 2 - Power Manager Configuration

        Once installed the Power Manager plugin needs to configured with details of what servers to monitor and managed .

        Click **"Plugins"**.

        Click **"Power Management > Settings"**.

        The **Edit** button allows you to modify the type of units (Watts / BTU/hr, Celsius, Fahrenheit) , cost of power , carbon emissions , etc . Click **"Power Manager Devices"** tab.

        Devices can be added to Power Manage in groups or individual devices. Click **"Individual Devices"**.

        All the devices that are already added to Power Manager are displayed. To add additional devices you would select add device. Only devices with a valid OpenManage advanced license would be visible to be added. In this lab we have already included servers to be managed by power manager, so we can move on.
