Navigating to Soil Sample Points using Operations Center Mobile App

    Open the App and Select Your Field

    Open up the John Deere Operations Center Mobile App

    Select your field from the map view

    View Soil Sample ID Numbers

    At the top of the screen, select the Work Layer of Soil Test Sites. It is found under a layer type of Planning. The date should match about the date you requested the soil sampling plan.

    Tip! If you don't see the Soil Test Sites or other Planning Layers, ensure that Contributed Layers are turned on in the Layer Type filters found at the top of the layer selection screen.

    View Soil Sample ID Locations

    Tip! While the Soil Sample IDs will give you a rough idea of where to go, the Flags are a more precise tool for navigating to the location where the samples should be collected. If you aren't seeing flags or if you are seeing too many flags, adjust your settings using the following steps.

    From the Map view, tap on the Gear Icon

    Tap on the arrow next to Flags to select the type of flags to view on the map.

    Scroll through the list to turn off each category of flags.

    1. Check the box next to Soil Test Sites to turn it on. 2. Then click on the X to close out of the settings box.

    You should now see the flags on the map.

    Navigate to your Flags

    Alert! When navigating - make sure to navigate to the narrow point at the base of flag.

    Pinch to zoom in to your flags. Look for your blue dot on the screen and navigate to your flag. Begin collecting your soil sample when you arrive at it.
