Administrators need to enable "Request Communication" from their Request Portal Settings for Requesters to receive messages on their requests.

Once you have made a request, you can view status updates and messages related to it through the Notifications bell on your Request Portal. Click "Notifications" to view.

Notifications are triggered whenever the status of a request is updated or a comment is added by an admin or any request fulfiller in the web app. The Notification Center organizes notifications by category, showing messages and status updates (e.g., "Reminder: return due today" or "Reservation request denied"). \

Each message or status update has a time stamp to inform the Requester when a certain action was taken on the request.

Unread messages appear in blue with a dot signifying the messages they haven't read yet. Requesters can click "Mark all as Read" to clear the unread statuses. To view a message, a requester simply needs to click on the message.

Requesters will be taken to the Request Details Page where the message will appear.
