When an employee leaves your company and is offboarded, **any equipment assigned to him/her and enrolled in the MDM will be reset**. The data will be deleted and the computer will be reset to factory configuration, and the computer will be assigned to stock on the platform. It will then have to be enrolled in the MDM again once it has been assigned to another employee.

Please note: In order for the remote reset request via the MDM to be effective, the computer must be : - switched on - plugged in - connected to the Internet from within the chosen offboarding time slot - the user session must be unlocked if it's a Mac with a hard disk encrypted via FileVault, For example, if the offboarding is scheduled for 4 p.m. on a Friday, these conditions must be met from that time slot for the action to be carried out remotely via the MDM.

If the employee who is about to leave your company uses a MacBook, make sure he/she has logged out of his/her iCloud account BEFORE returning the computer to avoid it being locked once back in your stock : <https://scribehow.com/shared/Deconnecter_un_compte_iCloud_dun_Mac___5cwJmcgSAC04XEHxhmZSg>

In the equipment drop-down menu, select the stock account or another employee. You can then follow the offboarding process above. ⚠️ For safety reasons, however, we recommend that you always reset your equipment before it changes ownership.
