The publish window will open. Prior to publishing, the CMS checks for 3 kinds of errors on the page. **Spelling errors:**\ This checker will provide spell checking similar to a Word document. These aren't always errors but be sure to double check. Click the errors link next to Spelling to see specifically what it's seeing as an error. If it's a name, location or obscure name, ignore the error. If it catches anything that is really spelled wrong, go back and correct it. **Link errors:**\ This will check if any hyperlinks are going to broken pages. If you haven't published the page or pages it's linking to in production, it may mark those pages as broken. If you’re publishing for the first time, any new pages that haven’t been made live will be listed as broken link errors. You may ignore these errors for a new page’s initial publish. **Accessibility errors:**\ This checker will show you which items are triggering ADA errors. Do not publish if you find any red accessibility errors. Please fix the errors listed so the ADA checker passes as green before publishing. Use the ADA Guide if you need assistance correcting ADA errors. If the errors are unable to be fixed, please submit a Marketing Request Form.

Publish Targets: Click the drop down to switch between publish targets. 1. **Webdev** (Previewing Environment)\ This publish target is a testing environment; and you will be able to preview all your edits without worrying about the public seeing the page. These pages will not be searchable by Google, but the link can be shared to colleagues if you send the URL to others.\ Example: [webdev.fgcu.edu/advancement](http://webdev.fgcu.edu/advancement) 2. **Production**\ This publish target is to make a page go live. The public can see this page and Google can search the page. Make sure to contact UMC via the Marketing Request Form if you are publishing a site for the first time.\ Example: [www.fgcu.edu/advancement](http://www.fgcu.edu/advancement)
