PC.3.B.5 - Creating Invoices

ProAdvisor Challenge
This exercise is a ProAdvisor Challenge provided by Intuit. To find the original, log in to your QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA) account, then follow this path:
- In the left navigation bar, hover over ProAdvisor, then click **Training**.
- Click the **Training Library** tab.
- Click **QuickBooks Online** to expand (it may already be expanded).
- Click on the **Sales & customers** tile.
- Click **Beginner Skills** to expand, if necessary.
- Click on the **5. Creating invoices** section.
The exercise can be found towards the bottom of the page, under ProAdvisor Challenge.
*Note: You may need to click through some buttons as you scroll down before having access to the ProAdvisor Challenge section.*
The Sample Company

To complete this exercise, you must be in the Sample company. To get into it, click on the Gear icon on the top right corner of the screen, then select Sample company.
Note that you will be logged out of your current account. If you are sure, click "Continue" to confirm.
Hands On Practice
Now let's get started with the exercise.
Here’s what you need to know:
- The invoice is for Diego Rodriguez
- The invoice is for the installation of 7 new fountains
- Each fountain installation is $50
- Craig prefers the payment to be made within 30 days

Click the "+New" button, then select "Invoice".

In the Customer field, select "Diego Rodriguez".

On the first line, in the Product/Service field, then select "Installation".

In the QTY field, change this to "7".
*Leave the Rate field as is with the predefined, $50 rate, as this is what Craig would like to charge.*

Click the "down arrow" next to Save and send, then select "Save and close".
In a real life scenario, you can Save and send the invoice to the customer.
