Hands On Practice
Now let's get started with the exercise. As a reminder, here is the scenario:
Your client Craig paid his Visa credit card today and asked you to help him record the transaction in QuickBooks Online.
Here’s some useful information:
- The payment was **$500**
- Craig used his **Checking account** to pay off his **Visa** card
Here’s what you need to do:
- Use the **Pay down credit card feature** to record the transaction
Click the "+New" button, then select "Pay down credit card".
In the Which credit card did you pay? field, select "Visa".
Leave the Payee field blank.
In the How much did you pay? field, type "500".
The Date of payment field will default to today; for the purposes of this exercise, leave this as is.
*Note: your date may be different than the date below.*
In the What did you use to make this payment? field, select "Checking".
Click "Save and close".
