    The Sample Company

To complete this exercise, you must be in the Sample company. To get into it, click on the Gear icon on the top right corner of the screen, then select Sample company.
Note that you will be logged out of your current account. If you are sure, click "Continue" to confirm.

    Hands On Practice

Now let's get started with the exercise. As a reminder, here is the scenario: Craig is looking for a way to easily see profitability reports for his jobs, including costs for employees and overhead. You suggest that he uses the Projects feature, and agree to carry out an example conversion for him to follow. **What should you do?**\ From the Customers tab in the Sales center, convert 0969 Ocean View Road (a sub-customer of Freeman Sporting Goods) into a project.
First, we need to turn on Projects.
    Click the "Gear icon".
    Click "Account and settings".
    Click the "Advanced" tab.
Click anywhere in the "Projects section" to make it editable.
Click the "toggle" next to Organize all job-related activity in one place (this will turn green, indicating it has been turned on).
    Click "Save".
Your screen may refresh after saving.
    Click "Done".
For some reason, QBO asks if you want to leave without saving, even though, after turning on Projects, you saved it. This is likely a glitch in the Sample company, as you can leave the page and it will still be saved.
    Click "Yes".
Next, we will need to find Freeman Sporting Goods:0969 Ocean View Road in the Customer tab.
From the left navigation bar, hover over Sales, then select "Customers".
Only sub-customers that are set up to "Bill with parent" can be converted to Projects, so you'll need to make this adjustment for Craig's existing sub-customer.
    Click "0969 Ocean View Road".
