Airtable
On Zapier, press "Create Zap".
Zoom Saved
The Trigger is already added as the first step. Click the "Search" box.
Zoom Saved
As Airtable is the app that you are using for this Zap, type in "airtable". Click on the Airtable app when it appears in the list.
Zoom Saved
You need to select an event that will trigger this Zap. Click on the search bar to bring up the options that are available with Airtable.
Zoom Saved
For this zap, you will use the event "New Record". Select it from the drop down.
Zoom Saved
Click "Continue".
Zoom Saved
If this is your first time using Airtable in a zap, you will need to authenticate your account. Press the "Sign In" button to connect your account. A pop up window will open.
Zoom Saved
Each app has different authorisation requirements. Some require you to login with your app credentials, others might require an API code. If you are unsure how to connect your account to Zapier just ask a search engine like Google.
As you are already logged in to Airtable, it should take you to this page. If not, you will need to login to Airtable through the pop up first. Once you see this page, press "Add a base".
Zoom Saved
Select the Airtable base that you are working with. If you haven't changed the name, it will be called "Waitlist Filtering Automation (Zapier)".
Zoom Saved
Click "Grant access" to authorise the connection.
Zoom Saved
The pop up will close and you will see that Airtable connection is being used in 1 zap. Press "Continue".
Zoom Saved
Now you need to set up the actual trigger. First, you need to select the Base.
Zoom Saved
Select "Waitlist Filtering Automation (Zapier)" from this list. This is the base you copied over into Airtable.
Zoom Saved
Now you need to select the table you want to access the data from. Your table should be called Table 1. Select it from the drop down.
Zoom Saved
This is all you need for the Trigger. Ignore the remaining fields and press "Continue".
Zoom Saved
Press "Test trigger" to pull the latest data entries from Airtable.
Zoom Saved
This is where your test form entry from earlier is useful.
Zapier usually pulls the last 3 data entries it can find. If you do not see the entry you inputted in the form earlier, click on the "Record" and select each record until you find it. You will see the data that Zapier pulls displayed underneath.
Zoom Saved
The main field you are interested in from this data is the "Experience Level". You will use it in the next step. Click "Continue" to finish your Trigger.
