    **Navigation** To view the payments page click on "Payments" from the main navigation.

    **Payments** The main section shows a table of all your customer payments including the amount, amount actually paid currently and the status.

    **Payment Status** Each payment may have a status of **Incomplete, Authorized, Refunded or Paid.** It is important to pay attention to the status of a payment to determine if any action by you is necessary (such as requesting a customer payment).

    **Adding Payments** To add a payment (or start a request for a customer payment), click "Add Payment"

    **Adding Payments (continued)** Add basic information about your payment, such as the payment type (Invoice or Appointment), and customer information.

    **Adding Line Items** To adjust the price of your payment, add line items by typing in a description, quantity, and rate or amount. To add more lines click "Add Item"

    **Payment Status** To change the payment status, select the paid status dropdown. If a customer pays through an invoice or appointment, this status will automatically change and generally requires no intervention by you. It is however available, should you ever need to manually adjust a payment status.

    **Paid Balance** Like the paid status, the paid balance will automatically change when a payment is made. You can manually change this amount, however, this is not recommended as it will not actually transfer funds to your Stripe account (see payment integration).

    **Editing Payments** To edit a payment, you can click on the customer name.

    **Viewing Transactions** Each action whether by a customer or manually by a team member, will show in the previous transactions list. This includes amounts authorized, charged, or refunded. It is critical to view the history of a payment transaction.

    **Charging Customers (In Person)** If you have a registered and compatible credit card reader (see payment integration), you can accept in person credit card payments. To charge a customer click "Charge Customer" from within a payment window.

    **Charging Customers (In Person)** Select, "Charge in Person (Card Reader) and ensure your reader is turned on.

    **Charging Customers (Continued)** If your reader is offline you will be prompted with an error message to power on your device. You can also use the select card reader dropdown to choose another reader if available.

    **Clearing Card Reader** In the event a customer changes their mind or you need to reset the reader device, click "Clear Card Reader".

    **Processing Payments** When your ready, click "process card". Your customer will need to provide insert or tap their chip enabled credit card to the device to process their payment. You'll be notified on this screen when the payment is complete. Once complete, you can close the window and refresh your payment screen.
