    Navigation

    Navigate to **UCPath**: <https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu/home>

    On the left navigation pane, click **PeopleSoft Homepage.**

    Click the **Position Management** tile.

    You will typically land on the **Add/Update Position Info** page.

    For more visual space, click the black icon to collapse the left side Navigation Pane.

    Searching

    On the search page, you can search using a variety of criteria.

    Tip! If you have a **unique identifier**, your search result will be the most precise. In this example, **Position Number** is a unique identifier.

    If you want to use the magnifying glass lookup for **Department** or **Job Code**, note that there will be zero search results unless you add the code, **BKCMP,** to the **Business Unit** field first.

    Once you have entered in your search criteria, click the **Search** button.

    Tip! If your search criteria is too broad, you will only see the **first 300 results returned.** You may want to narrow your criteria and search again.

    To open a position, click anywhere on the **row**.

    View Position Info

    You can now click through the various tabs: **Description, Specific Information, UC Position Data, Budget and Incumbents, and Supporting Documents.** **Description:** shows much of the job-related position information including the job code, department, location, reports to, salary admin plan & grade, and FLSA status.

    **Specific Information:** shows the FTE and the Position Pool ID if the position is associated with a Work Study award.

    **UC Position Data:** shows the HR Worksite ID, Employee Relations Code, Special Training, and Security Clearance associated with the position.

    **Budget and Incumbents**: this page will not display any budget information. It will show any incumbents in the position and will link to their Job Data, which will be accessible to you only if you have the row-level security to view their job data record.
