Power Automate is an automation software. The desktop version is pre-installed in Windows 11. If you are using an older operating system, you can download it for free from the Microsoft Store. It can be used to speed up time-consuming, repetitive tasks.\
**You don't need to know the full Power Automate program to do the sequence of tasks I'm about to show you. If you go through our step-by-step guide, you can easily do it!**

In this guide, we will save screenshots in groups from a PDF file created with ScribeHow using Power Automate. First, click on the Power Automate icon and open the program!

Click "New flow"

Click "Flow name", and add a name!

Click "PDF Actions"

Click "Extract images from Pdf"

Select your PDF file!

Choose where to put your saved images! Then click on the "Save" button!

Give me a picture name! In the example I used the name "scribe".

Once the command has been run, open the folder where the pictures were placed.

And yes, here are the extracted image files. We might as well end the process here, but we won't stop there. Unfortunately, PowerAutomate has created file names that are not the same number and therefore the files are not displayed in the correct order. We will fix this problem with Total Commander.

Select all the files you want to rename. We use Total Commander's group rename feature, which you can access by pressing Ctrl+M. First remove the word scribe by clicking on this key: \[N#-#\] section\
Select the digits of the character you want to insert, then press OK.

Now comes the conversion to three digits.\
In the renaming mask, enter this code: 00\[N\]\
In the search field, type: ^\d\*(\d{3})\
In the Replace field, type:$1\
RegEx: tick this field

Clicking OK will rename the mass renaming. This method is especially useful if you have a lot of image files.
